David and Laurie Baud of Baud Builders, Inc. a custom, high-end residential home building company located in Wakefield, R.I., attended an NAHB 20 Club meeting held recently in Norfolk, Virginia.
Baud Builders is a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) which offers the NAHB 20 Club networking and educational program exclusively to its members. Groups of twenty builders meet regularly for an open exchange of information and advice.
David and Laurie Baud represented Baud Builders at the meeting, which focuses on teaching builders from similar, non-competing businesses how to build better quality homes, improve business practices, and increase overall customer satisfaction.
Featured guest speaker for the meeting was Phil Rea, principal of R2R Marketing, a Chesapeake, VA-based agency that specializes in quantifiable, effective and inexpensive eMarketing, social media management, and search engine optimization (SEO). Rea provided sales training to members and
addressed the importance of social media and business websites in today’s
digital marketplace.
The agenda also included a tour of several bay-front homes located in Cape Charles, VA that were constructed by NAHB 20 Club member Jim Schneider of Schneider Custom Builders. Located on Virginia’s Eastern shore, Cape Charles is across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel from Norfolk. The Bauds also took a boat tour of the Bay showcasing the United States’ impressive naval war power while military jet fighters practiced maneuvers overhead.
