Baud Builders, a custom, high-end residential home building company located in Wakefield, R.I., attended an NAHB 20 Club meeting held recently in Plantation, Fla.
Baud Builders is a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) which offers the NAHB 20 Club networking and educational program exclusively to its members. Groups of twenty builders meet regularly for an open exchange of information and advice via roundtable discussions and educational sessions. The NAHB Builder 20 Clubs celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2014.
David Baud represented Baud Builders at the meeting which focuses on teaching builders from similar, non-competing businesses how to build better quality homes, improve business and financial practices, and increase overall customer satisfaction. Featured guest speaker for the meeting was Mike Benshoof, a partner with SMA Consulting (Orlando, FL) who spoke about profitability, “best practice” business systems and construction management for custom homebuilders. SMA Consulting is one of the largest and oldest management consulting firms in the U.S. that exclusively serves the homebuilding industry. Each of the firm’s associates was a successful builder or worked for a successful homebuilder prior to joining.
The meeting was held at the Lutron Experience Center which showcases the very best in lighting control and shading systems. The Center’s 2,500 sq. ft. showroom features Lutron’s unique lighting solutions that range from accenting décor and creating a specific mood to enhancing safety and security.
