Beachside Contemporary

  • For four winters, Baud Builders renovated this 1980s contemporary beach home one level at a time, adding new space as the owner’s family grew.
  • Contemporary flush style cabinets, stainless appliances, a sea green Caesarstone quartz island countertop brings ocean elements into the kitchen.
  • Bleached oak flooring was installed throughout the house. A custom bar at the stairwell’s half-wall serves the triangular shaped sitting room which was added to the second level.
  • Ocean view dormers opened the bedroom to the views and gave access to a newly constructed private deck with solid wood shingle railings.
  • New red cedar sidewall shingles, cedar shake roof shingles, exposed copper flashing, exposed rafter tails and a rebuilt front stairway completed the outside.
  • Ocean view dormers with cedar shingled private sitting areas.
  • A new HVAC system efficiently cools and heats the home.
  • The new addition created a light filled sitting area that catches the ocean breezes.
